What is Canada’s national animal? How many people live in Toronto? What is the Weeknd’s real name? These are just a few of the facts that Goethe students were able to learn about from posters assembled by grade 6.

Canada was the focus this year for the international cafe sponsored by the Goethe English Network (GEN). Scrumptious baked goods and treats with a Canadian theme served as the backdrop. Students were able to purchase Nanaimo bars, molasses chocolate chip cookies, Rice Krispie treats and Canadian butter tarts while music from Canadian artists played in the background.

The grade 6 students had also created a quiz to go with their posters, so that everyone could test their knowledge in the end.
